Here's an update of some of Sarah's happenings!

This summer we have already been making good use of Meme's pool. Sarah, you can now swim without wings and show no fear of the water! You especially love when someone, anyone, throws you into the air!

We've also had a revelation recently.

Although you wear play glasses all the time (it's a weird obsession of yours!), we discovered upon going to Kindergarten screening that your vision is not very good! We immediately booked an appointment with the eye doctor and you picked out some great purple glasses. I may be biased, but you are the sweetest looking kid in glasses that I have ever seen. Not to mention, you are so responsible! You have had your glasses now for a few weeks, and you are so good to place them on a table correctly so they don't scratch, you wake up and immediately remember to put them on, and you never complain about having to wear them. You make my heart sing! Everytime we are out somewhere and you see someone with glasses, you walk right up to them and say, "You have glasses just like me!"
This summer we have also made some major changes! We bought a new house in Wakeman and you are so excited! It was built in 1890 and you have your very own rose room! You also have a few favorite features of the house, such as the front porch "stage," the "flushing potty," (yes, the home has indoor plumbing! Ha! JK, the toilet in the garage has a pull string flusher mounted way up high - you love it!), the secret passage way between your room and Molly's, and the climbing trees all over the yard. We are very excited to watch you grow and play at our new home.

We have spent the past week in Colorado. Uncle Tegan got married to Kelley and we made a vacation out of the occasion! Here, you, Molly, and Cayden created your very own dirt garden outside our condo. Who knew that dirt could be so fun?
Here you are with Elliot, the ringbearer, aka your new boyfriend!
Always ready to pose for a camera! You wore converse shoes in the wedding for Tegan and Kelley got you these great fairy wings!
The groomsmen and their princesses!
You had a blast dancing with Uncle Tegan!

Keep posted for more updates as we travel home and settle into our new home!

June 13, 2010

Okay, Okay, so again I've fallen off of the blogging bandwagon. I sometimes find that I have too much fun watching and participating in your life than writing about it! We have some very exciting new things happening around here and although I won't get into full detail right now, we are BUSY!
First thing first, tomorrow we begin our move from the home where I brought you home as a newborn into a spacious, century home with lots of space to run and play and grow and explore! Some of your favorite features about the new (older) house include the huge front porch (you call it a "stage"), the new riding lawn mower Daddy had to buy for the acre of land, the twisty ringer for the door bell (it rings like a bike bell!), the secret passageway between your room and Molly's, and of course, the flushing potty - it has a pull string that connects to a heightened tank to flush! Oh and how can I forget the ROSE room that you are moving into? It is covered with rose wallpaper! We are very fortunate to be moving in and getting settled before you start Kindergarten in the Fall! Not to mention, that Daddy and I are so proud of the way you help out with Bronson that we have been promising you your very own puppy. You have agreed to share with Molly and help her learn how to take a dog for a walk, give him a bath, and feed him! Once we get all settled in, we will go to a rescue shelter to pick out the perfect "Sophie" or "Mister" that you've been talking about since we first mentioned it!
But first, we have some serious business to attend to! TEGAN IS GETTING MARRIED! We leave on Wednesday for Colorado where all four of us will be participating in Tegan and Kelley's wedding. Not only that, but we will get our first chance to really see where Tegan lives, what Colorado is like, and what fun things there are to do there! I can't wait and neither can you! You keep telling me that you know your job. "The flower girl always throws flowers on the floor for the Bride." Well, there you have it!
