My Roser! You were a party animal on New Year's Eve! You helped me make Chex Muddy Buddy Mix to take to Meme and Papa's annual party. I think that you also devoured most of the mix while at the party because you were up all night! We played a new game with Uncle Tegan and Aunt Kelley called Hollar for your Dollar. You didn't quite understand the rules of the game - you were given three dollars to play with, but you didn't want to part with any of your money when the time came! In the end, Meigan won the pot and you scrambled your way across the pool table to stuff the dollar bills in your dress. You were quite a sight! Meigan ended up letting you keep the money that you collected - a whole 18 dollars! Every day you think about what you might spend that money on...
You started back at school and immediately got the Sharing Bucket! This is your favorite and you try out almost every toy in the house before deciding on the perfect thing to take to show your friends at school. This time, you decided on your new Ooh chi wow wow stuffed animal that is a Webkinz (you can bring her to life and play on the computer with her!). You were thrilled that your boyfriend, Henry, immediately knew that she could go on the computer!
You've been working on writing letters and numbers, and although I know that you can write these things, your school work isn't showing this! Daddy and I spend lots of time with you in the evenings to practice writing your letters and numbers because you love to get things right! Today you even did some extra work from my first graders - you connected the dots on a sheet from 1-50! I am thrilled that you can identify the numbers up to fifty, let alone count that high! We then worked on patterns and numbers. You love to do school work! We even made our pattern work super fun by using nail polish and painted patterns on our nails! You are very excited to get to go to Kindergarten next year. I am still amazed that you are so big!
I also wanted to document my favorite thing that you and Molly have been doing lately. Molly has been having trouble pronouncing all of her words correctly. One day, a few weeks back, she must've been trying to say "School bus." When Molly says this however, it comes out like, "Dulebus." You and your sister, creative minds that you are, created a creature that is called a Dulebus. You curl up your hands and stick out your bottom lip. You hunch your back and take tip toe steps towards your enemy. This is a dulebus.
The day that you and Molly created this creature, you played for hours chasing each other around as dulebusses. That night, when I took you up to bed, I wasn't downstairs five minutes before you were calling me up to your room. You were afraid to fall asleep because you thought you'd have nightmares about a dulebus! This cracked me up because of course, you made up a dulebus! There is no such thing! Well, now this has spread so that our family all knows what a dulebus is and we are all on the lookout for a dulebus attack! Watch it!
